70th Anniversary Concert featuring Duo SaBu SOLD OUT
A Concert in Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Bay Area Finlandia Foundation
Duo SaBu presents a concert of Finnish songs, showcasing the wide variety of musical and poetic expression in this repertoire. Our concert includes a joyful hymn to love, an intense remembrance of times and dear ones past, a dark and very Finnish lullaby, a “Dream” set, with songs about dreams by Sibelius, Kilpinen and Grieg, and finally the Syksy-sarja of Madetoja, a stunning contribution to the art song genre. We’ll conclude with everyone singing along with us in the Finlandia-Hymni by Sibelius!
